Landman Season 2 (2026) – First Look & NEW Details

andman, the Paramount+ series created by Taylor Sherican and Christian Wallace, wrapped up its first season on Jan. 12. Ever since, here hasn’t been any announcements made about a Season 2 renewal, but a recent development seems to suggest that a new season is now moving forward.

Per Fort Worth Star-Telegram, extras in the Fort Worth, Texas, area are being sought for work in Season 2 of Landman. According to the report, the new season is gearing up to start filming later this month. Notably, the first season was also filmed in the Fort Worth area.

Another big clue hinting at the quiet renewal for Season 2 comes with casting notices posted by the Texan agency Legacy Casting on a website used for casting background actors.

According to one of the reported casting notices, the new season is seeking a baby around six months old to serve as the on-screen son for Ariana (Paulina Chavez). The listing notes that twin Latino boys sharing the role would be ideal, but females will also be considered. Legacy is also said to be looking for stand-in actors for the show’s leads. These jobs are typically for 3-5 day work weeks which sometimes last for 12 hours a day.

Landman” season 2 hasn’t been officially announced yet, but the show’s future looks healthy. As documented by The Direct, season 2 is listed on the Film & Television Alliance website, revealing that filming was set to begin in February.

This means that it’s probably only a matter of time until Paramount+ confirms the news. What’s more, Billy Bob Thornton wants to reprise the role of Tommy Norris, and while speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he shared some details that corroborated the filming dates for season 2:

“I understand that if we’re going to do that, season 2, that it’s going to be sometime around February, March, somewhere in there. I mean, we’ll see. It just depends on how the chips may fall, you never know in this business. But if we do it, I think [we’re] going to try to do it around that.”

“We’re meeting these characters at such an early, beginning stage, and there’s so much room for growth. And so I just hope people stick around for that,” Randolph previously told CBR about the show’s future.

It’s clear that there have been conversations about “Landman” season 2 behind the scenes, and the aforementioned updates give us enough reason to be optimistic about it coming to fruition. Besides, Taylor Sheridan shows typically last as long as he wants them to, so why would “Landman” be any different?
